Downtown Christmas Lighting Ceremony

 

Every year the community comes together on the Monday before Thanksgiving to sip hot chocolate and enjoy the festivities at the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Downtown Christmas Lighting Ceremony. Volunteers put in hours of work putting up lights and getting ready for Santa's arrival.  The excitement is palpable as we kick off the holidays with our beloved downtown lights. This is a great occasion for the family to get into the Christmas Spirit!

 

This year's festivities were November 21st and began at 6:30 p.m.  The Odessa school choirs will be singing Christmas carols after we flip the switch to turn on the lights downtown.  Shortly after the choirs perform our parade starts.  Once Santa finished in our parade you could find him sitting in his chair enjoying the many children that waited to share their deepest wishes for Christmas.​  Over all it was a magical night!
