This annual event celebrates the outstanding individuals, businesses, and organizations that have made a significant impact on our community. We are delighted to honor the nominees in the following categories each year:

1. Beautification: 

Awarded for meaningful physical beautification efforts such as landscaping, exterior improvements, or property enhancements that visibly improve the community’s appearance.

2. New Business of the Year:

Awarded to a business that has opened with the past 2 years and positively contributed to the betterment of the community.

​

3. Business of the Year:

Awarded to any existing business that stands out as exceptional in the community. Special consideration is given to those businesses that have increased the workforce and/or enhanced the economic environment within the past year.

4. Organization of the Year:

Awarded to an organization in the community that serves Odessa through meaningful outreach and ongoing support.​

​

5. Volunteer of the Year:

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our community and this award is presented to an individual that exhibits the giving, caring nature of serving the community in a volunteer capacity.

6. Community Betterment: 

Awarded to an individual, business or organization that has worked over the past year to significantly improve the community.

7. Business Person of the Year:

Awarded to an individual that exemplifies outstanding business leadership in the community.

8. Hometown Hero

​Presented to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and unassuming service to our community. Often working modestly behind the scenes, this award honors someone who quietly makes a lasting difference —someone whose impact might not be widely known, yet is deeply felt.

9. Lifetime Achievement Award:

This award is presented to an individual who has served the Odessa community over the majority of their adult life.
