VFW Post 5675 has proudly served veterans and the Odessa community since 1946. The post hosts shuffleboard tournaments, all-you-can-eat breakfasts, live music, and other community events throughout the year. Their space is also available to rent for family gatherings, celebrations, and special events. VFW Post 5675 welcomes members of all ages and remains committed to supporting veterans and bringing the community together.

Helping Hands of Odessa works to fight hunger and provide essential support to residents in the Odessa R-7 School District. Their unique grocery-shopping model allows individuals and families to choose from a variety of food and household essentials, including dry goods, snacks, eggs, dairy, meat, desserts, and cleaning supplies. Community members can support their mission by donating, volunteering, or helping spread the word.

​Helen’s House has been serving women and children in Odessa and surrounding communities since 2019, providing free clothing in a welcoming, boutique-style setting. Families with proof of residency can shop donated clothing and other items at no cost. Each year, Helen’s House also hosts a Back-to-School event, providing students with three outfits and a new-to-them pair of shoes.

John Knox Village East is a locally owned, not-for-profit senior living community offering a maintenance-free lifestyle with a full continuum of care. Located on a peaceful 40-acre campus, the community provides independent living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and therapy services, along with a variety of amenities, activities, and opportunities to connect. With no high-dollar entry fees and a focus on personalized care, John Knox Village East offers residents comfort, security, and a true sense of community.

Job One KC has been creating employment opportunities and supporting individuals with disabilities since 1967. Serving adults throughout the Kansas City region and surrounding counties, they help individuals build skills, gain confidence, and achieve greater independence through meaningful employment and supportive services. Their commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and workforce development strengthens both individuals and the communities they serve.

​LCE is a nonprofit organization providing meaningful employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities in Lafayette County. Founded in 1974, LCE offers a variety of services, including contract work, facility maintenance and cleaning, paper shredding, and operation of Lafayette County’s only recycling center. They also operate Undiscovered Treasures Thrift Store, with proceeds supporting their mission and employees.

The Mayview MO Foundation (MMF) is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening and revitalizing the Mayview community. MMF has transformed the former Mayview School into a community hub with a renovated gym, event space, and local businesses, while also providing amenities such as Bear Tracks Mini Storage and Mayview RV Park. Through its community garden, food pantry, annual events, and Mayview History Museum, MMF works to preserve local heritage, support residents, and create opportunities for the community to grow.

Mount Hope Masonic Lodge #476 AF&AM is a long-standing organization in the Odessa community dedicated to service and community support. Through fundraisers, donations to the local school district, and other community initiatives, the lodge works to make a positive difference and support organizations and residents throughout the area.

The Odessa Garden Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to gardening, community beautification, and creating a more beautiful Odessa. Members meet monthly to share gardening knowledge, hear from guest speakers, and plan community service projects, including plantings at Railroad Park, the Odessa Reservoir, and downtown planters. The club also supports its work through memberships, donations, an annual plant sale, and t-shirt sales.

Partners for Odessa Parks and Recreation, Inc. is dedicated to enhancing Odessa’s parks, recreation opportunities, and quality of life. The organization works to maximize resources, improve local parks, and create opportunities for recreation and community engagement. One of its major initiatives is the development of a 77-acre park project designed to expand Odessa’s Community Civic Center and Sports Complex and provide new opportunities for residents to enjoy and connect with their community.

Serving Benton, Henry, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, and Saline counties, WILS provides resources and support to help people achieve and maintain greater independence. As a Missouri Center for Independent Living, WILS is a consumer-driven nonprofit committed to advocacy, inclusion, and connecting individuals with the tools they need to thrive.
